It won't end. There will always be loons, followers, and leaders. Some people like to make rules. Some like to follow. It will become something new in the future, when most of us are six feet under. -

Pete- I love the picture
My aunt who is broke as a joke and pioneering, when she should be working, wishes they would drop the Reg Pioneer hours down to 40. No one makes their time etc.
I told her, the GB don't live in the real world, no burden, no financial concern, no retirement/medical worries, they live in an ivory tower. And she tells me, "but they have sacrificed so much"
What, possibly, do these people think the GB has sacrificed?

I think he writes what we all dream. Reality is, this a cult, and way too many times he has gotten 'information' from all these, very 'in JWs,' that are so willing to voice their displeasure. -

Lawrence Onoda, Ph.D., Jehovah's Witness Psychologist
by Maryo inin about 1980 i came to know of and meet one time with lawrence onoda, ph.d., a jehovah's witness psychologist [also i think elder] in southern california.
i was shocked to know there was such a thing in view of the wts traditional stance against jws consulting such a person!
he had been one of jws for six years at that time, i recall.

Yes. I know him. Have met and went to him. Along with most my family and group session for family. Crazy. He was great, but now, I don't understand how he believes at all. -

A New Year and a New Start For Lurkers
by The Searcher inwhat better time of the year (than hogmanay) to encourage lurkers to examine black & white examples of org teachings which are false, and for them to rebelliously examine what is presented as "truth?
" (km september 2007 - question box) .
here are some previous examples for those who have yet to read them: .

I love reading your posts. The scriptures debunking common JW belief. Amazing. So simple.
Question: Whats the point of the JW saying there are new scrolls with new instructions? I grew up hearing it, but whats the point?

Our fade-gossip-elders calling
by All for show inlooking back we had been fading without even realizing it.
life happened...and we weren't regular.

Unbeknownst to me, my hubby emailed the brother back. This is what he said-
It is unfortunate the sisters had such a willing spirit to suspect the worst and spread gossip. As followers of Christ we should be doing exactly that, following him-not gossipers. I will not entertain this subject as it is unloving, unkind, and inappropriate. Not only to myself and colleagues, but to my wife and children.
In the loving manner of a Shepherd and follower of Christ, I would assume you will be correcting the matter with the sisters and applying the appropriate scriptural counsel. This matter is closed and will not be discussed any further.

PBROW:
If it were only that easy. We would all go by our picture and real names on this website. Nor would most of us be as frustrated, sad, and annoyed as we are.

I wish my husband would say any of the above. He hasn't said how he would/will handle it. He is so busy he is hardly home or answers a phone so hard to catch. He will give them an answer if they ask- nonchalant is my guess, but my wish is for him to tell them to shove it. Im more upset because of a lifetime of indoctrination vs him. -

Thanks for all the advice. I am going to have him read this.
We haven't been to a meeting in 9 months.
Yes, the email mentioned sisters had seen him with a women... which if anyone knows him- they know she is a partner in the practice. Also, if you go to his website you can see all 5 practicing MD's. So- anyone in the community NON JW- would not think twice seeing them together. At a table set for 5-no less!
Why didn't the sisters come say hello? Instead of staying back and gossiping. Of course- they never point this out. This must be some dirty scandal!
